The Gymathstics® programme was developed by Rizwana Dinath in 2008. She is a qualified educator with a Bed: Early childhood development and foundation phase specialising in Mathematics and special needs education. Rizwana is passionate about meeting learners individual learning styles and wishes to change the way children learn mathematics.

The programme began in her back yard as extra maths classes with four learners and developed into a tried and tested programme. The programme was born out of the need to increase mental maths ability through brain stimulating exercises and multi-sensory resources thereby creating a love for mathematics and making mental maths fun. Currently the programme is running at four schools and increasing in demand.
